Today I will be introducing you guys to one of my most favorite Korean dishes namely Budae Jjigae or Korean Army Stew.
As it is getting cold in Sydney, what other things can be so
comfortably warming you up than a friendly hot pot dish. Budae Jjigae is one of
the most famous Korean hot pot dishes. It is made of a number of ingredients
such as various vegetables (carrots, bean sprouts, cucumbers, different types
of mushroom etc.), sausages, spam, tofu, pork (or other kinds of meat), kimchi,
thinly sliced tteok (rice cake) and topped with instant ramen noodle.
The combination of all the ingredients produces a very flavorful
soup. One slurp of the soup and your body instantly warms up.
The photo I posted below is from one of the restaurants in
Sydney namely Jonga Jip Restaurant in Eastwood suburb. You can find a lot of
Korean restaurants selling this in Eastwood and Strathfield suburbs (Sydney, NSW).
Give it a try and you will be addicted!
