Bibimbap: Korean Mixed Rice
Hey guys!
As Korean wave has hit the world by storm, not only does the entertainment sectors become popular worldwide but also the food and culture. Today, I'm going to introduce you to Korean most famous rice dish: Bibimbap.
Bibimbap is a Korean mixed rice. Before mixing and eating it, bibimbap is served either in heated stone bowl or just a usual bowl of rice topped with meats (usually beef, chicken or pork), various vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, spinach, bean sprouts, mushrooms, bellpeppers, lettuce and a sunny side up egg. Before eating people usually pour the sauce (chilli pepper paste) and mix it altogether with the rice, egg and vegetables.
Bibimbap was in the 40th rank in the open poll of most delicious food in the world held by CNNGo in 2011.
Give it a try cause it is a satisfying and healthy dish.
