Doner Kebab

Hi guys!
Moving away from Asian dishes, today I'm going to introduce you to Doner Kebab.

There are actually various kinds of kebabs in the world and each country interprets kebabs a bit differently. One of the varieties is shish kebab which is skewered small cubes of meat which is grilled. Other varieties may include vegetables like tomatoes, onions, bell peppers in the skewer. However, one variety that I find interesting is doner kebab.

Doner kebab is originally from Turkey and it is made of meat which is cooked in the shape of inverted cone that is rotating slowly on the rotisserie next to a cooking element. The cook will slice the outer layer of the meat vertically. The sliced meats are then served together inside a wrap or tortilla altogether with onion, lettuce, tomato and you can even add cheese in it as well. You may pick your favorite sauce to be put inside as well.

Doner kebab is a very satisfying take-away food cause you get all the ingredients together in your mouth in one bite.
